My husband and I feel very blessed to be anticipating our second child.

This second time around, I find that I am much more excited to be pregnant.  Not that I haven’t been sick.  I have.  But the difference is, I know how good it is to be a parent.  Truly the joy of my life.  My husband and I feel like our happiness grows with each phase of our toddlers’ development.  And now, we look forward to DOUBLING our joy in our children.

One of my favorite things to say about pregnancy is that there’s NOTHING EASY ABOUT IT.  I can’t tell you how hard I laughed at the What To Expect When You’re Expecting line:

Wendy: “I just wanted the glow — the one that they promise you on the cover of those magazines. Well, I’m calling it: Pregnancy sucks! Making a human being is really hard, I have no control over my body or my emotions. Gar-bear, I’m sorry, all I want to do is punch you in the face…”
Lol.  But really, in the oft-repeated words of my mother, IT’S WORTH IT.
So, what have I been doing to take my mind off the nausea?  Designing my nursery.  As mentioned in this post, my Pinterest account has never been so well-used.  I’ll share with y’all the fruits of my labors.  The girl design is still fuzzy, but that might be good.

  1. Gorgeous as always! Birds maybe?? And I would add antique laces 🙂 What a fun time designing. Cute sonogram too. They are getting such great pictures these days. Way better than when I had my first.
