Back in July, little man picked out a Halloween book from the library in Memphis. Trick or Treat, Marley! by John Grogan, with charming illustrations by Richard Cowdrey.  One of the pictures shows a green dinosaur costume—it’s not even a major part of the plot, just a background character, but little man decided then and there that he NEEDED to be a “green dinosaur with a tail” for Halloween 2014.  I thought maybe he’d change his mind by the time the holiday finally rolled around, but he was set on it.  I did a lot of dino research, looking for a costume that he approved of. I’ll admit, I got carried away.  I wanted to really enjoy this phase when a costume is magical to him.

Well, when I found these awesome hooded, footed pajamas online (footedpajamas.com), I saw that they made toddler sized pjs AND IDENTICAL ADULT PJS.  I couldn’t resist getting my husband a matching pair.  He knew I was making a dino suit for our son, but I kept his matching suit a surprise!  I pulled out the overgrown dino costume right before we left for our family Halloween party last week.  SURPRISE!!!

It was really delightful to see them run around together and play fight with their tails.  I had so much fun dressing our little kitty cat too.  I love seeing her little tail bouncing behind her as she crawls!

With two darling kiddos, this has definitely been our happiest Halloween yet!  Happy Halloween to y’all too!
