We Celebrated Our NINTH wedding anniversary this month.

To be festive, we did a scavenger hunt of the places we met and fell in love.   I blindfolded Tal for a bit and led him to the classroom where we first saw each other on our college campus.  It was incredibly funny to lead him helpless around a public place.  I highly recommend it.

So charming to relive our love story.  We have an incredible love story, btw, worthy of it’s own post or a TV miniseries. At times I actually felt that I was walking on hallowed ground, especially  as we contemplated the family that has grown out of our love.

At other moments, I was shocked by how much the landscape has changed with the passage of time.  How can these places be different when I feel exactly the same.  Time is a wonder.

Here’s a toast to the man I love:

When we were falling for each other, I remember talking to you late at night on the phone, asking you to “Tell me a story” of our future. If we could only have imagined then what we know now.  Our story is better than a fairytale.  We’re growing together, not just growing old together.  I’m grateful for every new chapter, and I’m still thrilled by the prospect of our happily ever after.

After just two months of dating we knew—but we couldn’t admit it then!  Really, I knew it before we ever even went on a date.  I knew I’d never find another man like you if I looked all my life.  I knew I never wanted to let you go.  I knew that you and I had something magical, that together we were more than we’d ever be alone.

Cheers to our home together, to the little kingdom we’ve built with a lot of sweat and tears, to the sticky hands and angel faces of our sleeping children, to the reality of life and growth together.  I am so grateful for the happy ending we live everyday. I can’t think of anywhere more wonderful than our home together.  Happy 9th Anniversary.
